Gadd after some ghost encounters Gadd says that the mansion just appeared out of nowhere a few days ago and it is filled with ghost and Mario came to see Luigi but King Boo the leader of the whole mansion got him and put him in a painting ironic how Mario used to jump from painting to panting now he is trapped. after Luigi catches all the ghost he takes down King Boo and frees Mario. With all the money Luigi found while catching all the ghost Gadd builds him a good mansion.
