The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass      home     back to Nintendo    forums

Link is riding on Tetra's boat after she found out she was Zelda and link has saved her this (ties in with Legend of Zelda the Wind Waker). Now that she is back to normal her, link and her are looking for the Ghost Ship. They find the ship and Tetra boards the ship but while she is onboard lightning strikes and she is swallowed by an evil vortex and is somewhere on the ship, then Link goes after her but only to miss the ship then of course he goes unconscious he washes up on an island called Maycan or something like that anyway some fairy finds him and before he woke up she has told here grandpa or the one she calls grandpa and Link tells them about tetra and the fairy takes his side and does everything she can to help him with finding info on the island and later goes on adventures with Link to find the "3 other fairies" the fairy that travels with Link has lost all its memory but the spirit of courage has all those memories and the old man she called grandpa fuses them together but the old man will not tell who he is. The old man gives Link the Phantom Hourglass upon his return to The temple of the Ocean King the first time he was there he had to save a pirate named Linebeck  from the dungeon (because he is a big baby) but the Phantom Hourglass allows Link to survive in the Temple because it is said that anyone who inters shall have their soul taken or in an easier way to understand it will just suck your hearts away till your dead unless you have the Hourglass but once your time runs out then you have to stand in the safety zones and get whatever it is you doing done and get out. Once he saves Linebeck he just runs off after telling him to explore the Temple a little more once you exit the Temple Linebeck is close to the outside of the temple, then you will show him the map he takes it and then you run him down and find the old man. Then you start traveling with Linebeck. After getting the 3 spirits u get the stone statue of Tetra because all of the life force has been sucked out of her. In the end you save Tetra and you find that the old man is the ocean king. It seems in a lot of the games the old man is always some important guy in a disguise.
